Sheryl Crow hailed Taylor Swift for her songwriting abilities
Sheryl Crow Applauds Taylor Swift‘s Songwriting Skills. Sheryl Crow recently spoke highly of Taylor Swift and her songwriting skills.
In a new interview with Variety, the songstress, who rose to fame with her 1993 mega-hit All I Wanna Do, explained why Taylor Swift’s songwriting should be a benchmark for aspiring singers.
Crow says anyone who wants to learn the art of songwriting should go to “Taylor Swift’s College.”
Praising other musicians like Chappelle Rowan, Olivia Rodrigo, and Phoebe Bridgers for their impressive “writing ability,” Sheryl urged music students to go to “Taylor Swift’s College.”
The Grammy-winning musician began, “The writing talent with Chappelle Rowan, Olivia [Rodrigo] and Phoebe Bridgers is great, and these women don’t just sing in the studio — they play.”

It’s worth noting here that the University of Texas at Austin has already launched a songwriting course in 2022 inspired by Travis Kelce’s Lady Love work.
“If you want to take a course on great songwriting, go to Taylor Swift’s college. There’s Brandy [Carlyle] and Courtney Barnett,” she maintained.
Before closing, Cheryl also noted, “For a long time, there’s been a lack of women who are playing, singing and rocking, and now I’m getting tickled.”
