Minka Kelly Opens Up About Battle for Equal Pay. Minka Kelly didn’t hesitate to demand a fair wage when she landed the role of the second lead in Ransom Canyon.
As Deadline reports, Kelly, 44, reportedly brought the issue up with the streamer, demanding that they match her salary to her costar Duhamel.
While their salaries weren’t exactly the same, Kelly’s pay was significantly increased to close the gap between the lead cast.
The actress also noted in the interview that she “didn’t have to fight too hard” to close the gap between her and her costar’s pay.
“They made it so easy,” he told the outlet.
“I think that’s probably one of the best things about working with Netflix, is that they’re so supportive of it,” he continued. “I feel really lucky to be working with a company that cares about it.”
Ransom Canyon is now streaming on Netflix.
