Mikey Madison Turns Down Role in Ryan Gosling’s ‘Star Wars’. Mickey Madison will not be sharing the screen with Ryan Gosling.
According to Variety, the Oscar-winning actress was offered the role of Barbie in the upcoming Star Wars film, but she turned it down.
Much of the plot information for the upcoming sci-fi film, titled Star Wars: Starfighter, is being kept under wraps.
While no plot details have been revealed, we can expect a new adventure from Deadpool and Wolverine director Sean Levy to helm the project.
During the film’s announcement in April, Levy said, “It takes place in a period after the Battle of Exigüel, after Episode 9,” referring to the events of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

He added that “there are so many opportunities to tell a Star Wars story that has the heart and action and fun of Star Wars, but to do it in new and original ways.”
At a Star Wars event in Tokyo on Thursday, the 56-year-old confirmed Ryan Gosling’s role in the new film.

“I heard at one point that my film was starring Ryan Gosling and believe me, it would be a dream come true for me. So today I want to tell you here in this room that the rumor is 100% true,” he confirmed on April 17.

Star Wars: Starfighter is set to be released on May 28, 2027, according to the film’s official teaser trailer.
