Brazilian police claimed on Sunday that they foiled a bomb attack planned for Lady Gaga’s concert on Rio de Janeiro’s Copacabana beach
Lady Gaga Breaks Silence After Bomb Threat at Brazil Concert. Lady Gaga has issued her first statement since Brazilian police claimed they foiled a bomb plot for a show on Rio de Janeiro’s Copacabana beach.
According to the Daily Mail, 2.1 million people attended the Poker Face hitmaker’s free concert in the Brazilian city on May 2.
The 39-year-old songstress took to her Instagram on Sunday and posted a message about the gig. Unfortunately, the Lady did not mention the bomb threat.
“Nothing could have prepared me for what I felt during last night’s show – the absolute pride and joy I felt singing for the people of Brazil,” the pop star’s post began.
She added, “The sight of the crowd during my opening songs took my breath away. Your heart is so bright, your culture is so vibrant and special, I hope you know how grateful I am to share this historic moment with you.”
Expressing her gratitude to her fans, Lady wrote, “An estimated 2.5 million people came to see me sing, the largest crowd for any woman in history.”
“I wish I could share this feeling with the whole world — I know I can’t, but I can say this — if you lose your way, if you believe in yourself and work hard, you can find your way back,” she continued.

The Bad Romance singer added, “You can give yourself dignity by practicing your passion and your craft, pushing yourself to new heights — you can lift yourself up even if it takes a while.”

“Thank you Rio for waiting for me to come back. Thank you to the little monsters all over the world. I love you,” the lady concluded the post.
Meanwhile, the lady’s rep revealed to TMZ that the singer was not aware of the bomb threat until she heard about it on the news on Sunday.
The spokesperson added that Brazilian police had not informed her of any potential threats prior to the concert.
