The Teenage Dream hitmaker, 40, will be touring for the first time since becoming a mother.
Now, as the award-winning pop star looks forward to her The Lifetimes Tour, which kicks off in Mexico later this month, the new mom has decided to bring her four-year-old daughter Daisy Dove to a few shows before she starts school.
“Before she starts kindergarten, she’s going to join me for a few dates and she loves it. She wants to go on stage and I’m like, ‘No, baby.'”
Perry also recently told E! News how motherhood has made her mindful of other moms who might appreciate shows starting earlier.
“One thing I will implement is an earlier showtime because now I feel for all the moms I used to start my show with at 9:15.”
Before Perry takes the stage, she will fly into space with a six-person all-female crew led by Jeff Bezos’ fiancée Lauren Sanchez for the launch of a suborbital spaceflight mission operated by Blue Origin’s NS-31.
In addition to Perry and Sanchez, rocket scientist Aisha Bo, bioastronautics research scientist Amanda Nguyen, CBS Mornings co-host Gayle King, and film producer Kerryann Flynn are set to launch tomorrow.
