Akshay Kumar Reacts to ‘Sikandar’ Box Office Performance. Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has reacted to the box office performance of his costar Salman Khan’s film ‘Sikander’.
The Bollywood superstar’s Eid release failed to perform at the box office as fans slammed the makers for the film’s weak plot and lead character.
In its first week, ‘Sikander’ lagged far behind Salman Khan’s previous Eid releases ‘Tiger 3’ and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’.
Akshay Kumar, who shares a close bond with Salman Khan, has now reacted to the film’s performance.
In a recent interaction with an Indian media outlet, the ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ actor was asked about his thoughts on why films headlined by big stars like Salman Khan are not doing well at the box office.
In response to this question, Akshay Kumar said, “This cannot happen. Tiger is alive and will always be there (This cannot happen. Tiger is alive and will always be there).”
The ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ star labelled Salman Khan as ‘Tiger’ and said “Mera dost hai (He is my friend) He will always be there.”
Directed by AR Murugadoss, ‘Sikander’ also starred Rashmika Mandanna, Prateik Babbar, Sharman Joshi, Kajal Aggarwal, Anjani Dhawan, and Satyaraj.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar is eagerly awaiting the release of ‘Kesari Chapter 2’, which is set to hit the theatres on April 18, 2025.
